Michael learned a few core truths that shaped his worldview.  The fist is that life should be lived to the fullest.  We need to take big bites out of life and celebrate the miracle of our existence.  There is no greater enemy to the desire for greatness than the allure of "being good enough."

The second was that people, no matter their culture or history, share a common set of unifying qualities.  In the words of John F. Kennedy,  "For, in the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children’s future. And we are all mortal."

When his adventures with the military were completed, Michael started a new career with Microsoft.  For two decades he worked with a variety of product teams as a Senior Operations Manager.  Michael led teams of extremely talented people on versions of Windows, Office, Developer Studio and SQL Server.  Michael developed a strong set of technical and leadership skills that has enabled him to help others on their career paths.

Michael recommitted his life to Jesus at the age of 40 and entered a long season reshaping his life purpose.  When Michael was nearing the age of 50, a single question consumed him, "What's next?"  The answer to that problem led him into the paths of writing, ministry  and  Life Coaching.  Michael is a Certified Life Coach (CLC) with the Life Purpose Institute.  LPI is one of the first pioneers in the Life Coaching field and is accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF).  He is the owner and CEO of MichWi LLC and focused on growing that business.

He is the author of two booksI.T. Operations (Advice from the field) addressed the philosophical mindset of I.T. Operations and Leadership.  Insanity Defenses (Escaping the madness of faith) explored Michael's journey of faith as a Christian. He is currently working on a third book  that will explore the nature of destiny. Michael's faith is central to how he lives life.  He is an active minister in his community and is the leader of the Kings Table Men's Ministry dedicated to healing the hearts of men.

Michael and his wife were married in 1988. Together they managed to raise two children into impressive adults. As empty nesters, they are eagerly awaiting the season of grandchildren.  In his spare time he enjoys reading, cooking, hiking, working in his wood shop, sharing life with friends and rooting for the Pittsburg Steelers!  Michael and his lady live in Tacoma Washington where he continues to work as a minister, life coach, writer, and speak of himself in the third person.

Michael was born in 1965 near St. Paul Minnesota in a hospital in order to be near his mother. His childhood days were spent in the suburbs of Minnesota and the farm lands of North Dakota.  Riding horses, building tree forts and the wild adventure of youth made up his cowboy days.  He graduated from Monticello MN High School In 1984 and joined the United States Army as an Ammunition Specialist. For fifteen years he traveled the world to Korea, Germany, Belgium, France, Hungary, Bosnia, Alabama, North Carolina, Virginia, and Washington.
